Visited as part of a pub crawl down Rochester high street, on my visit there was a marquee out back with a sort of festival on, which I imagine was part of the May Day celebrations. Lots of interesting characters here and had some excellent conversations with fellow punters
We loved our stay at Gordon House. Very central location, 5 minutes' walk from the station. The room was very big, warm and clean, as was the bathroom. It's an old hotel, and it shows in places, but for us, that adds to the charm. Staff were friendly and helpful, however, the front desk is not manned in the mornings, so if you need anything, you need to ring for attention. The shower took a moment to work out, but worked in the end, although the temperature couldn't be adjusted beyond warm(ish).
Fantastic room and location, all the windows work perfectly and stay open and stay closed no drafts, all the chairs and draws work fine nothing wobbles. The bathroom is beautiful and spacious with a shower that works better than my own ah home :) The lovely lady let us check out later as-well for a decent price. Highly recommend!
